4-hour response to troubleshoot and repair telco issues, and network hardware issues

Telco issues: Troubleshoot and repair network 
  • cabling, including demark extensions.  Communications line testing. 
    General cable testing/re-terminating/repairing
  • Smart hands: Work as smart hands for Level 3 support.  Console into devices, 
    connect to Webex to enable Level 3 access to the console.

 Required tools:
Laptop
  • 6 foot ladder
  • CPE Installation Kit

    • Loopback plug
  • Specific Patch cables to aid troubleshooting only

    • Analog Patch Cable
    • T1 Patch Cable
    • Ethernet Patch Cable
    • Standard Cisco Console Cable

  • Telephone Test Set (Butt Set)
  • 66 and 110 Punch Down tool
  • Multimeter
  • Wire Strippers/Cutters
  • Crimping Tool 

We need techs who have experience working in data colos, and have the following experience/skills:
·         Support multiple technologies including: DSL, Cable Broadband, Ethernet Over Copper, TDM, and Fiber
·         Utilize necessary Provisioning/Testing/Repair software
·         Interact and repair DSLAM edge devices
·         Local configuration of servers, switches, & routers
·         Termination of: DS0, DS1, & DSC
·         Cleaning/polishing of Fiber terminations
·         Use WAN test sets (DS1 & DS3, fiber light testers, etc,)
·         Understanding of Colo environment
·         Understanding of DC power
·         Basic understand of AC power (testing outlets)

replace pin pad(s) at local Office Depot locations. 

Technicians will need to pick up equipment at the designated UPS store
  • Technicians will then bring equipment to designated Office Depot location and replace the defective pin pad(s) and/or part.
  • Technicians are then to return defective pin pad(s) to the local UPS Store (using the return shipping label included with the new equipment)
*Office Depot Service Calls are received on a daily basis, and can be completed anytime during the hours of 10am and 6pm on the date that is listed.



  1. Testing RG59 & RG6 cable with BNC connectors
  2. Re-terminating BNC connectors (both RG59 and
    RG6)
  3. Installing RG59 and RG6 cable
  4. Testing/Troubleshooting CCTV equipment
  • Troubleshoot Camera
  • Troubleshoot NDVR 

Tools Needed:

BNC Coax/Network Tester (if you have a tester

  • Coaxial (BNC) cable stripper
  • Coaxial Cable Cutter
  • Minimum Qty 6- RG59/Q & RG6/Q BNC
    compression connectors
  • Minimum 100+ feet of RG59 & RG6 coax cable
**If you have the tools/hardware for BNC CRIMP style
connectors, you can use them instead of the compression connectors

This will be 24/7/4 service on HP Servers & Storage 
Techs need to be identified and probably badged
